MEET OUR HERD
Our rescued horses are at the center of everything we do. Each one carries a story of resilience, and through care, patience, and love, they’re given the chance to heal and find a forever home. Meet the herd whose strength inspires our mission every day.

Our First Rescue Rosie
Meet Rosie, our very first rescue filly.
Since her intake in March 2025, she has blossomed into a beautiful yearling with a truly remarkable transformation in every way.
From her uncertain beginnings to the confident, spirited horse she is today, Rosie continues to inspire us with her growth and resilience.
We already love you, Rosie—and we can’t wait to see all that’s ahead!
Meet Archer
Please meet our newest little rescue, Archer!
He is just 5 months old, a sweet mini horse, and we saved him on 9/2/2025.
Archer was rescued from a Virginia kill pen, where his future was uncertain. Thanks to a fast rescue effort, he was safely shipped all the way down to South Florida to start a brand-new chapter of life.
Now begins the journey of helping Archer feel safe, secure, and loved. With time, patience, and gentle handling, we know this little guy will blossom into an incredible companion with a big personality packed into a small frame.

Meet Stella
Please meet Stella, our beautiful permanent resident!
She joined us in October 2024 and is a 4.5-year-old quarter horse with a heart as big as her stride.
Stella isn’t here as a rescue in transition—she’s here to stay. Her role is something truly special: providing steady support, calm energy, and companionship to the horses that come through our gates. She’s the surrogate sister every rescue needs, showing them what trust, safety, and friendship can look like.
Stella reminds us every day that healing happens best with love and community.
We are so grateful she’s part of our family.
Meet Clover
Please meet Clover, our beautiful rescue from the Texas Slaughter Pipeline.
She joined the Sunny Days family in January 2026 and has already touched our hearts in countless ways.
Clover is sweet, gentle, and a little hesitant — a reflection of the hardship she endured before finding safety with us. Despite everything she has been through, her kind spirit continues to shine. Each day, she is learning to trust, to feel safe, and to simply be a horse again.
We are honored to be part of Clover’s healing journey and can’t wait to watch her continue to blossom.

Meet Willow
Please meet Willow, our beautiful rescue from the Texas Slaughter Pipeline.
She joined the Sunny Days family in January 2026. We believe she may not have had much human handling before coming to us, but her eager-to-please personality has made her one of the most adaptable members of our herd.
Willow is young, curious, and loves to learn. She is settling beautifully into her new home and truly seems to enjoy being part of the Sunny Days family.
We are so excited to watch her continue to grow, trust, and thrive.
Meet Rue
Please meet Rue, our biggest rescue yet from the Texas Slaughter Pipeline.
He joined the Sunny Days family in January 2026, and his heart truly matches his size. Rue is a giant teddy bear — full of love, affection, and an eager desire to be a very good boy.
He adores his Sunny Days family and has naturally stepped into a leadership role within the herd. Though he’s a leader, he remains soft and gentle, showing kindness in every interaction.
We can’t wait to watch Rue continue to grow, heal, and thrive alongside his Sunny Days family.

Meet Osha Bear
Please meet the newest member of the rescue: Osha Bear.
His name carries meaning — “grounded strength” and “healer with power.” Rooted in Native American symbolism, Osha refers to the sacred healing plant known as bear root, and the bear itself represents protection, resilience, and quiet strength.
At Sunny Days Rescue, we are beyond excited to welcome another mini into our family. Osha Bear may be small, but his presence is powerful — steady, soulful, and already stealing hearts.
Welcome home, Osha Bear.
